Hello everybody!

My name is Sonja and in December 2016 I started as a digital scrapbook designer under the name “Synergy Ink”. I stumbled upon digital scrapbooking by accident in 2011, when I was searching for some pictures for a paper baby album I was making. A whole new world opened up and haven’t looked back since (the unfinished baby album is collecting dust somewhere…).
I learned a lot since then and over the years I have been (or still are) part of a few Creative teams, like JopkeDesigns, Happy Scrap Arts and the digiscrap site-CT, next to designing.

I love making Mixed Media and Art Journaling layouts (and designing the supplies to make them), but above all, I like experimenting with different styles, both in layout making and designing. One thing for sure: there’s always paint involved!

Next to designing and scrapping I also love photography, gardening, painting and bullet journaling and I’m a giant bookworm! But above all, I love my 3 men (husband and 2 sons) and my usually messy, teenage testosterone filled household!

I live in the Netherlands, stuck between Amsterdam, Schiphol and the tulip fields close to the Keukenhof, where you can find me behind my computer. I use Photoshop CC mostly. I find inspiration for my designs in daily life, music and I love Pinterest browsing!

I chose the name Synergy Ink, because Synergy is one of my favorite words. It´s the creation of a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts and that´s what (digital) scrapbooking is. You mix some papers, some elements and a bunch of photos and it becomes a beautiful artwork, a precious memory and a keepsake.

My favorite design is usually the last kit I made (so far), because I feel like I´m still learning every day. There’s a lot of designers out there that I admire for their style and quality of work, but the one I’m most grateful to, is Eileen from Happy Scrap Arts. She’s the one that got me into designing in the first place and has been a mentor ever since.
